Does the text generator put styled text layers on my thumbnail image?
No. FatThumb is not a layer-based design tool — there is no font picker, drag positioning, or shadow control. Text on a FatThumb thumbnail is generated by the AI as part of the image itself. To change it, the Modify editor's Text mode regenerates the thumbnail with only the wording and typography altered and everything else preserved.
How much does a title-suggestion run cost?
0.1 credit per run on managed plans — a small fraction of a thumbnail generation. If the AI call fails, you are not billed. Workspaces running on their own API keys (Lifetime BYO mode) are not charged credits for title runs.
Do titles really matter if my thumbnail is strong?
